Rep Invite
Invite any external vendor or expert into a support session. With Rep Invite, technicians can ask anyone to download the Bomgar Representative Console and join in the support session. After the session, the invited rep can remove the rep client or leave it installed for later use.
Ubuntu Representative Console
Ubuntu remote desktop control has been available on the customer end for a while now, Bomgar 10.4 now enables a support representative to run Bomgar on Ubuntu. Bomgar supports multiple Linux distros for customers and reps.
Equilibrium™*
Equilibrium is a load-balancing feature for high-volume support desks. It automatically distributes incidents within a team to the next available rep. Equilibrium can be set to enable only one session per rep or allow reps to handle multiple sessions simultaneously.
Mac Elevation
Bomgar continues to bring the same feature depth to Mac desktops that Windows users enjoy. The Mac customer client can now run with administrative rights on the remote desktop, enabling the use of features such as fast user switching, logoff/logon, and unattended reboot and automatic reconnect.
MSI Installer
Administrators can now automate the deployment of Bomgar remote desktop software clients to Windows systems using standard systems management applications for software distribution. Software clients include Bomgar Buttons, Jump Clients and the Rep Console. |
Jump Zone Proxy*
Jump Zone Proxy enables remote support for POS [point-of-sale] systems, locked-down desktops or other computers that lack native internet access. In Bomgar 10.4, Jumpoints can function as a broker or proxy, enabling access to systems that are otherwise unreachable. |
Shell Jump
Shell Jump enables direct SSH and Telnet access to almost any system on your network. Enter the target system's address in the Jumpoint and troubleshoot from the command line. Technicians can even execute scripts to perform necessary functions. |
64-Bit Clients
Provide support to more users with Bomgar’s native 64-bit Linux & Windows customer client and representative client. |

More Management Enhancements
Reporting Permissions | Manage the level to which a user can view reports. Disallow their view entirely, allow the representative to view only remote desktop control sessions in which he or she was the primary representative, allow the representative to view only sessions in which one of his or her team members was the primary representative, or allow the user to view all sessions.
Send File from Chat Permission | Allow or disallow a representative’s ability to send a file through the chat interface.
API Permission | Tighten security by allowing XML API access to only specific users. Permission can be set for the reporting API, the command API, and the external key.
More Support Enhancements
Post-Session Customer Redirect | Specify an URL to launch when a customer exits a remote support session.
More Jump Technology Enhancements
Jump Client Password | Enforce passwords on select Jump Clients, enabling an additional layer of security. If a password is enforced, a representative will need to provide the appropriate password before accessing or modifying that Jump Client.
Scripted Jump | Append to the Bomgar representative console executable a command line argument that will start a session connected to a specific Jump Client. This will enable a third-party application to Jump to a remote computer without requiring the representative to locate it in the representative console Jump Client interface. |
1 Windows 7 will be supported by Bomgar, but not certified by Bomgar until Windows 7 is offically released.
