Test the Settings of the LDAP Group Integration
- Click Edit by the server profile on the Security Providers page.
- Click Test Settings at the bottom of the page and enter the username and password for an account that exists on the server you are testing. This account must match the criteria for login specified during server setup.
- If your server is properly configured and you have entered a valid test username and password, you will receive a success message. Otherwise, you will see an error message. Click Show Details for a log that will help in debugging the problem.
Note: Testing a group server only validates that you have a connection to the server and can bind to the given username. It does not test the group settings. If the group server's authentication is disabled, the test will fail, even if the configuration is correct and the connection is made. Because authentication is handled by user servers, a failed group security provider test in which the connection is shown to have been made should not cause any problems.
