Screen Sharing Tools

Start Screen Sharing Stop Screen Sharing Start or stop screen sharing. Depending on user and site settings, you may request view or control of the entire computer or only of select programs.
Request Control Stop Control Enable or disable mouse and keyboard control of the remote computer. When showing your screen to the customer, grant or deny the customer control of your computer.
Refresh View Refresh your view of the remote screen.
Select Display If the remote system has more than one monitor, select which remote monitor to display.
Actual Size Scale Screen View the remote screen at actual or scaled size.
Full Screen Leave Full Screen View the remote desktop in full screen mode or return to the tabbed interface view.
Performance Performance and Quality Quality
View the remote screen at 8 bits for the fastest performance, 16 bits for a medium quality of image and performance, or 32 bits for the highest image resolution.
Show Virtual Pointer Hide Virtual Pointer Display or hide a virtual pointer on the remote screen. Click to momentarily change the pointer color. The pointer is especially helpful in pointing out items on the remote screen without requiring full control.†
Remote Mouse Cursor Local Mouse Cursor View the remote cursor for accuracy in location or view only your local cursor for better speed perception. Because viewing the remote cursor may cause a visible lag in display time, local view is recommended.
Enable Privacy Screen Disable Privacy Screen Disable the remote user's view and control of the computer. The remote user can regain control at any time by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del. This feature is useful if private information needs to be accessed.*
Reboot Reboot the remote computer or request the end user to enter valid credentials so that after a reboot, the remote system can log back on with the provided credentials without requiring the customer to be present.†
Special Actions Perform a special action on the remote computer. Based on the remote computer's configuration, the available tasks will vary.‡
Show My Screen Stop Showing My Screen Show your entire screen or select applications to the remote customer, or stop presenting. If you are currently viewing the customer's screen, you must disable screen sharing before showing your screen.

*The privacy screen feature is currently available only for Windows. In Vista, the customer client must be elevated.
†Not available on Windows Mobile.
‡Not available on the Linux customer client.
