Welcome to advanced support through your Bomgar B300™. Please follow these instructions to perform the initial setup and configuration of your Box. If you have any questions, you can contact support toll-free at (877) 8BOMGAR or internationally at +01.601.519.0123. You can also email us at support@bomgar.com.

Before You Get Started

Before beginning your Bomgar B300™ setup, please make sure you have the following system requirements and information.

  • An available power outlet
  • A high-speed network connection
  • A registered A-record resolving to the public IP of the Bomgar Box™
NOTE: This is the A-record you provided to Bomgar™ at time of purchase
  • A static IP for the Bomgar Box™
  • The appropriate default gateway and subnet mask for the Bomgar Box™ on your network

In order for the software running on your Bomgar Box™ to work correctly, you will need to register and provide to Bomgar™ an A-record (such as remote.mycompany.com) that resolves to the public IP of the Box. Bomgar™ also recommends requesting a public static IP address from your internet service provider. An internal static IP can also be provided to the Box but is not recommended; please see Typical Network Setup for details.

Before beginning the procedure, please download the software you received from our support staff to the laptop or workstation you will be using for the initial setup. If you have not received a link to this software from Bomgar™, please contact support toll-free at 1.866.652.3177, internationally at +01.601.519.0123, or by email at support@bomgar.com.

External Setup

1. Plug the power cable for the Bomgar Box™ into a safe power source. The Box's power supply will automatically switch between 120v and 240v as needed.

2. Using the Black patch cable provided, connect your laptop or PC to NIC1 on the rear of the Bomgar Box™.

3. Press the power button. The Box will initialize in about 60 seconds.
