SSL Configuration: Certificate Request

After an SSL Certificate Request is generated, the public portion can be given to a trusted certificate authority (i.e., Verisign, Geotrust, etc.) for them to sign. After the signed certificate is received back, it, along with the private key generated with it, can be uploaded to the Bomgar Box using the Upload New SSL Certificate form on the IP Configuration page under Networking.

A self-signed SSL certificate will tell your customers that your company guarantees the security of your Bomgar Box connection. This self-signed certificate must contain your company's correct information and will take the place of any previously existing certificate.
