2. What routers are compatible with the B100?
The B100 requires a router that supports hairpin routing, port forwarding, and is compatible with a dynamic DNS account. Bomgar™ recommends the Linksys WRT54G because it fulfills these requirements because of its widespread availability. For more information, see the Installation Guide

3. Do I need a static IP address?
While purchasing a public static IP address from your ISP is recommended, it is not required for the B100 to function. If you do not have a static IP address, you will need to set up a dynamic DNS account. For more information, see the Installation Guide.

5. How many help desk reps can use the B100's remote control software?
Bomgar's licensing is based on concurrent, or simultaneous, usage. Multiple support reps are therefore free to share one software license. However, only one help desk rep can use a license at any given time. With one license, one support rep can be logged into the B100 at the same time.

If more than one help desk rep needs to use the remote control software at the same time, please consider purchasing the Bomgar B200™ instead of the Bomgar B100™.

No. You only need to install an appliance at one location. Your customers can give you remote control of a Windows, Mac, or Linux system from anywhere in the world regardless of where the appliance is located.

7. Can I set up the B100 inside my network?
Yes. The appliance can be placed inside the company network. However, since placing the appliance inside the network requires you to configure port forwarding through your firewall, the recommended deployment model is in your network's DMZ.

8. What services are included in the annual maintenance program?

12. Can I upgrade from one remote support appliance to another at a later date?
At present, Bomgar™ does make it possible to upgrade from a smaller appliance to a larger appliance.

If you are a current customer, please contact our sales team for specifics on how to upgrade your remote computer access appliance.

If your are considering the purchase of a Bomgar Box™, we strongly encourage you to plan your purchase around the expected growth of your company.

If, for example, you think you will likely add support reps to your helpdesk in the near future, then you would be better fit by the B200™ than the B100™. Please also take into consideration the answer to Question #5 above when planning your purchase.
