Unattended Remote Computer Control

Traditional methods of accessing unattended remote computers involve pre-installing a software client on every machine to which you need access. However, with our new Jump™ technology, Bomgar™ is revolutionizing unattended computer control.

Jump™ technology enables remote access to unattended computers, often without any pre-installed client. Whether the computers you need to access are within your local network, within a known remote network, or external to any of your known networks – you can access them with Bomgar's Jump™ technology.

With Bomgar™ 10.0, available October 2007, Bomgar™ is rolling unattended remote computer control functionality into the core product, enabling you to perform both on-demand and unattended remote computer support with the same solution.

Software pre-installation

The AccessDesk™ software client must be pre-installed on every computer you wish to access.

Jump™ to any computer on your local or known networks with no pre-installed client, or install a Jump™ client on a computer external to any of your known networks for later access.

Accessibility

An AccessDesk™ client must be installed on every computer you wish to access, regardless of whether that computer is located on your LAN or entirely separate from your company's networks.

Within a LAN/VPN
Jump™ to any computer in your network, with no pre-installed client.

Within a Remote Network
Install a single Jumpoint™ agent on any machine on a remote network. You can then Jump™ to any computer in that network, with no pre-installed client.

Outside the Network
Install a Jump™ client on any computer outside your company's networks for later access.

Number of accessible computers

Limited by the number of AccessDesk™ licenses purchased. For each computer you wish to access, you must have an individual license.

Unlimited by the number of Bomgar™ licenses purchased.* There is no additional charge for adding Jump-enabled computers. Number of concurrently logged-in representatives remains limited by the number of licenses purchased, as standard with the core Bomgar™ product.

* Starter Service customers have a limit of 25 Jumpoint™ agents and/or Jump™ clients that can be installed per Bomgar™ license.

Bomgar™ integration

Separate from the core Bomgar™ product and requires a separate site on your Bomgar Box™.

Integrated into the core Bomgar™ product and does not require a separate site.

Interface

Access remote computers from the web interface or a separately installed interface.

Access remote computers from within the Bomgar™ representative client.



Current AccessDesk™ Appliance Customers

• Current appliance customers can add AccessDesk™ licenses through December 31, 2007, and will continue to receive support for AccessDesk™ until December 31, 2008. After this date, AccessDesk™ will no longer be supported.

• Instead, it is recommended that you transition to Bomgar™ licenses. If you are under current maintenance, you will receive a credit equal to your original AccessDesk™ license purchase, which will be applied to new Bomgar™ licenses.

• For example, an original purchase of $5,000 of AccessDesk™ licenses could be converted into $4,500 of Bomgar™ licenses, with $500 credit to be applied to additional license purchases.

• This credit can be applied only to software licenses, not toward any other purchases, such as an appliance upgrade or purchase, payment of annual maintenance, etc.

• This credit must be used at time of transition; it cannot be applied to a later purchase.

• Your current Bomgar™ appliance will be updated with the new software technology. No new hardware is required.

• Appliance customers have no limit on the number of Jumpoint™ agents and/or Jump™ clients that can be installed.

• This transition must be completed by December 31, 2008. After this date, you will not be able to transition your AccessDesk™ license dollars into Bomgar™ licenses.

 

Current AccessDesk™ Starter Service Customers

• Current Starter Service customers can add AccessDesk™ licenses through December 31, 2007, and will continue to receive support for AccessDesk™ until December 31, 2008. After this date, AccessDesk™ will no longer be supported.

• Instead, it is recommended that you transition to Bomgar™ licenses. The subscription price of your AccessDesk™ Starter Service licenses will roll over to an equivalent dollar value of Bomgar™ Starter Service licenses.

• For example, if you are paying $300 per month for AccessDesk™ licenses, you could convert that amount into $250 per month of Bomgar™ licenses, with $50 credit to be applied to additional license purchases.

• This credit can be applied only to software licenses, not toward any other purchases, such as an appliance upgrade or purchase, etc.

• This credit must be used at time of transition; it cannot be applied to a later purchase.

• This rollover is in place for both pay-per-month and prepaid AccessDesk™ Starter Service customers.

• When you transition to a Bomgar™ license, you will be given 90 days to complete your internal transition. After 90 days, your AccessDesk™ site will expire.

• Starter Service customers have a limit of 25 Jumpoint™ agents and/or Jump™ clients that can be installed per Bomgar™ license.

• This transition must be completed by December 31, 2008. After this date, you will not be able to transition your AccessDesk™ license dollars into Bomgar™ licenses.
