Partnering with the Mississippi Technology Alliance to Help Rebuild Businesses in Wake of Katrina
Summary: NetworkStreaming partners with Mississippi Technology Alliance to lend a helping hand to businesses hurt by Katrina
September 13, 2005RIDGELAND, Miss.: Sept. 13, 2005 - NetworkStreaming announced today that it has joined forces with the Mississippi Technology Alliance to help businesses rebuild their IT infrastructure following Hurricane Katrina. The Mississippi Technology Alliance is organizing a network of technical support providers to help small companies affected by the hurricane access the technology resources needed in order to restore operations.
"NetworkStreaming recognizes the gravity the situation has brought to our region, and we are anxious to do our part to assist our neighbors. As the recovery evolves, we want to help businesses restore operations, for the sake of their employees and customers," said Joel Bomgar, CEO of NetworkStreaming. "We credit the Alliance for organizing such a valuable resource for hurricane affected businesses - and we feel it is critical that we are part of this effort."
As part of this effort, NetworkStreaming is providing its NS Support Appliances pre-loaded with its remote control support, access, and presentation applications to help affected users with their IT and business collaboration needs. NetworkStreaming's remote support products are appliance-based PC software applications that allow remote users to log on to a URL and connect within seconds to IT administrators or co-workers to collaborate in real-time on projects. The software does not require any pre-installation or configuration, and it works between any two computers, anywhere in the world, even through corporate firewalls.
In addition to its work with the Mississippi Technology Alliance, NetworkStreaming will be donating 10 percent of its revenue for September to the Red Cross. For additional information, please visit http://www.bomgar.com to learn more about our Hurricane Katrina support effort.
