RIDGELAND, Miss., August 20, 2008 – Inc. magazine today ranked Bomgar Corp. No. 190 on the 27th annual Inc. 500 that recognizes the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. Bomgar is the leading provider of appliance-based virtual support software and was named to this list for its exponential revenue growth over the last three years. In addition to the company's position among 5000 honorees, Bomgar also ranked No. 6 out of 100 other companies representing the computer and electronics sector.
"Bomgar Corp. is proud to be acknowledged as one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S.," said Joel Bomgar, founder & CEO. "This recognition is a strong testament to our consistent revenue growth and the increasing worldwide adoption of our industry-leading virtual IT support software."
Recognized as the fast growing company in Mississippi, Bomgar stands out in its efforts to deliver unprecedented market growth regardless of geographic location. Bomgar has maintained year-over-year growth of over 100% percent since 2003 and experienced tremendous revenue growth of 1,282.0 percent between 2004 and 2007.
"If you want to find out which companies are going to change the world, look at the Inc. 500," said Inc. Editor Jane Berentson. "These are the most innovative, dynamic, fast-growing companies in the nation – the ones coming up with solutions to some of our knottiest problems, creating systems that let us conduct business faster and easier, and manufacturing products we soon discover we can't live without. The Inc. 500 list is Inc. magazine's tribute to American business ingenuity and ambition."
The 2008 Inc. 500/5000 list specifically measures revenue growth from 2004 through 2007. To qualify, companies must be U.S.-based and privately held, independent – not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies – as of December 31, 2007, and have had at least $200,000 in revenue in 2004, and $2 million in 2007.
