NetworkStreaming Lays Out New Initiative to
Help Small Businesses Provide Remote Technical Support
Date: 01/24/06
Summary: NetworkStreaming offers additional purchase options in order to cater to a wider variety of business sizes
RIDGELAND, Miss.: Jan. 24, 2005 – NetworkStreaming, Inc., announced today a new pricing structure that makes it easier for small businesses to deploy and manage SupportDesk™, the company's industry leading appliance-based remote support software. With the new pricing structure, NetworkStreaming is providing its customers with the choice that better suits their technology purchasing objectives.
The pricing model includes two different options targeted to different users – large enterprise organizations and small to medium sized businesses. Both plans enable organizations to own and host the NetworkStreaming SupportDesk™ Appliance on site for enhanced security and lower total cost of ownership. The pricing options include:
Perpetual License
This option is targeted toward large enterprise customers who can easily afford the upfront costs associated with implementing this solution, but are looking for a lower overall total cost of ownership. With this option, users can purchase the Support Appliance from NetworkStreaming with one concurrent SupportDesk™ license for $3,490. Each additional license will cost $1,695.
Yearly License
The yearly license option is targeted for small businesses looking to provide the same level of support to its users or clients, but is not currently able to front the full cost of the appliance. With this option, users can purchase the Support Appliance with one concurrent SupportDesk™ license for $1,795. The customer would then be required to renew the license for SupportDesk™ each year at a cost of $945 per license.
SupportDesk™ allows support professionals to remotely connect to users or clients any where in the world in less than 10 seconds. Once connected the support professional can view and work within the users' machine to troubleshoot computer-related issues. For small businesses with remote workers or satellite offices, remote support provides a lower cost alternative to traveling on site to fix computer crises.
"Because computing problems happen in every organization, the needs of the support professional are similar for both large and small enterprises. They need the ability to quickly and easily connect to remote users – regardless of where they are – and provide support through a secure connection," said Joel Bomgar founder and CEO of NetworkStreaming. "We are excited to make this offering that will help smaller organizations get up and running faster and provide the same level of remote support as their larger enterprise counterparts."
